Position Objective

The Training and Recruitment Coordinator will collaborate with Risk Management and Human Resources department to aid in the review and selection of candidates to fill open positions and work to ensure they are properly trained to encourage a safe workplace. This position will also aid in supporting the Project Manager by aiding in the performance improvement of all current associates.  Strong leadership, oratory and presentation skills along with energy and enthusiasm, the Training and Recruiting Coordinator (TRC) will drive the staff recruiting, on-boarding, orientation and training requirements for the site with the primary goal of providing a high functioning team.  The TRC will possess the necessary industry knowledge and skills to enable them to be the primary subject matter expert for the site.  Required skills would include; forklift operation, ability to use large industrial floor cleaning machines, floor and carpet care maintenance, general cleaning such as disinfection, damp wiping, waste removal, vacuuming, mopping, etc.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and have a can-do attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Continuously evaluate the competency of the staff and develop plans to improve overall performance.
  • Source candidates from multiple locations to ensure the best personnel for the job.
  • Monitor job performance to ensure trained procedures are followed
  • Assist Operations with recruitment needs for the facility by coordinating with Human Resources in job posting, screening and interviewing candidates
  • Assists operations in inspecting facilities as they relate to employee performance.
  • Assist in the administration of the onboarding process of new hires at the assigned location/region.
  • Assist the site manager with department oversight when needed.
  • Coordinate with the HR Department in ensure all candidates meet requirements
  • Liaise with corporate HR and training departments to continuously develop supervisors
  • Recommend corrective action, promotion and termination based on objective criteria
  • Manage the screening process based on Company and Customer requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring all hiring documents are completed in full
  • Coordinate with Risk Management to ensure all training requirements are meet
  • Maintain department training records and training calendars
  • Coordinate with Payroll Department to ensure set-up of all new hires
  • Perform other functions as assigned
  • Participate in department initiatives and projects

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Certification in Fork Lift Operations and able to Certify new Operators
  • 1-2 years Human Resources/Training experience within a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
