Position Objective:

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Accounts, the primary objective of the Corporate Account Manager is to direct the account management activities for one of Harvard’s largest and fastest growing national clients.  The person in this role will work collaboratively with the VP of Corporate Accounts and EVPs of Operations to develop deep client understanding, build strong relationships, drive new business and lead the ongoing account management and retention process.  This incumbent will work closely with all corporate functions, especially Operations, Human Resources and Safety to ensure the delivery of Service Excellence.  The role will also be responsible for utilizing the organization’s strengths and value proposition to create innovative solutions for our client that will grow Harvard’s position as a preferred supplier.  Location for this position is flexible as significant travel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, anticipate and effectively address client trends and implications for the business relationship. Ability to recognize the clients’ unmet needs and service obstacles then aid in the creation of new innovative service solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with Operations, Human Resources, and Safety to evaluate individual client performance and recommend refinements and improvements.
  • Establish, maintain, and build strong client relationships at all levels of the clients’ organization.
  • Demonstrate high quality client management skills to encompass negotiations, implementation and refinement of service and ongoing quality. 
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of operational execution to include an understanding of cleaning and warehouse processes, reengineering of labor and budget management.
  • Strong financial acumen in labor management.
  • Proven track record of working and succeeding in a team environment where not all team members are direct reports.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism in all client and company dealings.
  • Conduct oneself in a manner that exemplifies the stated Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the company.  Adhere to policies, procedures, and confidentiality.  Be an outstanding Harvard brand ambassador.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful and demonstrated operations, sales and client satisfaction leadership in a cleaning or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to develop and build broad based internal and external relationships.
  • Organizes time effectively, self-starter, the ability and success working independently as well as collaboratively as part of the greater Harvard team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required with strong business management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment where change is constant and a sense of urgency is needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, ability to learn HarvardSmart technology suite
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the work week
