The Strategic Account Manager will develop, execute and sustain trusted customer relationships while managing a team of 15-20 cleaners and maintenance personnel. The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate customer and staffing needs to deliver a high quality of cleaning service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interface with property management and Harvard operations staff on a daily basis to coordinate and execute cleaning and other projects.
  • Oversee staff of 15-20 general cleaners and 2 supervisors.
  • Manage work order and inspection systems on a weekly basis.
  • Manage expenditures such as labor, inventory chemical supplies and consumable products within budget guidelines.
  • Complete new hire paperwork, employee training, and appropriate disciplinary action as necessary.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory and/or account management experience in janitorial or related industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating and managing budgets.
  • Flexible work schedule Monday through Friday is preferred.
  • Intermediate - advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel programs preferred.
  • Experience with certified cleaning programs or online work inspection programs preferred (e.g. ISO and Leed)


This position comes with an excellent compensation consisting of a competitive base annual salary of $70,000 per year. Medical, dental, and 401K included in benefits package.
