Job Summary:

 

This newly created position reports directly to Harvard’s CHRO and will play a critical role in realizing the vision and growth plans for the company.  The VP Talent Acquisition plans, develops, and directs recruitment strategies, processes and employment programs. The VP leads the process to develop our employer brand and essential to our progressing “people first” as a market differentiator for Harvard. The person in this role is a key player on a national HR leadership team, contributing to HR strategy and building a high-performing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for designing, implementing and managing end-to-end, company-wide recruitment processes that ensure the delivery of a pipeline of qualified candidates with the greatest efficiency, from workforce planning to onboarding
  • Lead the development and effective management of Harvard’s employer brand and managing the candidate experience
  • Manage and leverage existing iCIMS recruitment platform to deliver automated workflow for optimal results and efficiencies while exploring other potential tools which might be better suited to our workforce needs
  • Manage Harvard’s use of social media, employment advertising agencies and development strategic candidate sources
  • Manage team of regional recruiters to ensure a high-level of service, creativity, and results
  • Manage executive/senior management recruitment processes offer letters regarding titles, salaries and other pertinent information
  • Create standard relocation program, manage relocation agreements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key business leaders
  • Drive training for all Harvard interviewers to ensure competence and compliance
  • Assesses external labor market conditions, analyze trends, create metrics and understand business needs to develop highly effective proactive recruiting strategies
  • Create talent acquisition strategies and specific objectives, including but not limited to veteran recruiting
  • Develop and manage talent acquisition budgets, policies, procedures
  • Facilitate the offer process gaining all necessary approvals
  • Ensure all recruiting activities consistent with organization's policies and standards
  • Develop and manage talent acquisition dashboard
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal employment law and regulations
  • Other Human Resources related duties

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • (10+) years of recent experience with high volume, fast-paced recruitment for large private company handling multiple locations
  • Experience with behavioral-based (competency) interviewing
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • iCIMS recruitment platform experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate through and stay abreast of all top job boards and social media
  • Competency to multitask, and meet goals within set timeframe
  • Creativity, driven, and a self-starter
  • Talent to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills
  • Progressive proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
