A day in the life:

The Temporary Human Resources Leave Coordinator supports the Human Resources team by administering Leave of Absence (LOA) programs and coordinating employee Return-to-Work processes for a high-volume union and non union workforce. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave administration while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements. The position also provides general HR support as needed, including employee relations documentation and special projects.

What you’ll do as an Exceptional Team Member

  • Administer Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA, Paid Family Leave (PFL), Disability Benefits (DBL), and related leave programs.
  • Review leave requests, monitor deadlines, maintain documentation, and coordinate with employees, managers, and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate Return-to-Work activities, including reviewing medical releases, preparing documentation, updating HRIS records, and communicating employee status changes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable leave laws and company policies.
  • Assist with ADA interactive process documentation under the direction of HR leadership.
  • Support employee relations by preparing documentation and assisting with investigations as needed.
  • Process routine HR transactions and provide administrative support for departmental initiatives and special projects.
  • Provide reception desk coverage when necessary
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

What you’ll need to be an Extraordinary Team Member

  • Associate's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus.
  • Two or more years of Human Resources experience, with Leave of Absence administration strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Paid Family Leave, Disability Benefits, and related employment laws.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Albanian) strongly preferred.
