    Job Summary:

     

    Primary focus will be to service the existing business, operationally and financially, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business where possible.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responds to service requests generated by internal customers for items such as: workstations, furniture, signage, artwork and office equipment requiring repair, replacement, adjustment or installation. 
    • Establish work priorities to assist with backlog management.
    • Moves furniture, office equipment and company assets per manager.
    • Perform general carpentry tasks such as installing doors, hardware, furniture and other related work.
    • Responds to service requests to install and repair locks and cut new locks. Replaces broken or lost keys. Maintains log for lock keying number system.
    • Inspect and service workstations, furniture, office equipment and assets according to Preventive Maintenance and Repair Plan and adjust as required.
    • Performs preventative maintenance on office equipment such as ice machines and refrigerators.
    • Participates in project moves under the direction of Manager. 
    • Responds to service request to set up for meetings and events. 
    • Assists with furniture and asset inventory and storage.
    • Assist with other construction, renovation or move projects as assigned by Manager

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

     

    • High School Diploma or G.E. D.
    • Minimum 2 year of facility maintenance, moving services or technical/trade experience
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
    • Experience in a commercial setting is preferred
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to manage work to ensure work is completed efficiently
    • Ability to trouble shoot general carpentry, furniture and office equipment issues
    • Basic computer skills

    Compensation

    Harvard is offering a competitive rate per hour.
